June 3, 2013

My eldest son, Josh, arrived back home this weekend, having recovered from his law school graduation festivities.  He starts studying for the Maryland Bar Exam, which he’ll take at the end of July.  Then, after a short break to catch his breath, he’ll start a clerkship at Montgomery County’s Circuit Court.

My daughter Sarah is now in rehearsal for Montgomery College’s Summer Dinner Theater, and her twin brother Eli just moved into the wrestling house at Cornell.  He’ll stay in Ithaca for the summer, continuing his daily conditioning and practices for Cornell’s wrestling team.  Oh, and I guess he’ll go to classes also starting this fall.

Looks like Maryland Lt. Governor Anthony Brown will name Howard County Executive Ken Ulman as his running mate for 2014.  Ulman was the youngest person ever elected county executive in Maryland, and has a substantial war chest.  The election is hardly a done deal, however, as our Attorney General,  Doug Gansler, is widely considered to be running, although he probably won’t announce until the fall.  He has more in his campaign account than both Brown and Ulman combined.

Finally a shout-out to David Arthur Graphics for doing a fantastic job on our upgraded website.  Couldn’t be more pleased.

’til next time.
